"all those smiling faces"

“All Those Smiling Faces” is a street photography project based in New York City. The idea for the the project came from an interview done with Korean hip hop artist Tablo, who talked about how easy it is to recognize the little things that make us unhappy but not the little things that make us happy. So I started this project of asking people what is is that makes them happy, and the project is a collection of their portraits along with their answers. The images were taken on a medium format film camera, the Yashica MAT EM, with Ilford HP5+ black and white film.
