My name is Mitchell Kim and I am a graphic designer and photographer.
I graduated in spring 2020 with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Communications with a specialization in graphic design from the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences at Baruch College of the CUNY. During my time at Baruch, I received an education based on branding, print production, basic graphic design principles, and photography. My major also taught me marketing, management, and communications fundamentals.
What began as a hobby in photography led me to pursuing graphic design as a school major, and then a career. I learned early on that certain principles that guide photography such as composition, hierarchy, and balance can be applied to graphic design as well. Photography continues to fuel my creativity, and some of my favorite photographers include Ansel Adams, Annie Leibovitz, Alan Schaller, Willem Verbeeck, and George Muncey.
